Becky Grace Aronson, LMHC, NPT-C

Psychotherapist

Sozo Psychotherapy-sozopsych-licensed mental health counselor in Florida-Christian counselor

With over 20 years of combined national and international experience in the fields of psychology and mental health counseling, and neuroscience, I bring a deeply rooted passion for healing, cultural sensitivity, and clinical excellence to my work as a therapist.

I hold a Master of Science in Mental Health Counseling and am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the states of Florida, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. I am also certified in Neuropsychotherapy (NPT-C). Currently, I am pursuing a doctoral degree in Community Care and Counseling with a specialization in Traumatology.

My career has taken me across borders—serving diverse populations in Nicaragua, Guatemala, Brazil, and the United States. I had the privilege of working with both children and adults in various contexts, including community mental health agencies, foster care systems, faith-based missions, and humanitarian outreach.

Over time, my professional focus has evolved toward working specifically with adults, where
I find great fulfillment in bearing witness to personal growth and the restoration of self.

Why I became a therapist

I was called to the field of psychotherapy through a profound desire to integrate my personal, academic, and professional experiences in service to others. The name of my practice—Sozo Psychotherapy—reflects this vision. “Sozo” is a Greek term, meaning to save, to heal, to deliver, to free, and to make whole. It encompasses physical, emotional, and spiritual restoration—principles that lie at the core of my therapeutic mission.

I consider it an immense honor to walk alongside individuals as they navigate life’s challenges. I believe that humans are innately resilient, and even amid great adversity, we possess the capacity not only to survive—but to thrive. The opportunity to witness transformation, growth, and healing in others continues to be one of the most meaningful aspects of my work.

My goal is to offer a compassionate, grounded presence and a space where you can be fully seen, heard, and understood—free of judgment, free of pretense, and full of possibility.
